Greg is a senior Government Whip and is Vice Chamberlain of the Royal Household, a position which requires him to liaise between the House of Commons and Buckingham Palace.
Until recently, he chaired the influential Procedure Select Committee, which looks at the practices and procedures of our ‘Mother of Parliaments.’
He chairs the All-Party Historic Vehicles Group of which he is a founder member.
He regularly brings issues of concern to East Yorkshire to the attention of Ministers.

Amongst his legislative achievements is the doubling of ‘drinking up time’ in pubs to 20 minutes and, more recently, the Estates of Deceased Persons Act, which he put on the statute book in 2011.
