“Caravanning contributes £6 billion annually to the UK economy with much of this being spent ‘off-site’, in nearby shops and pubs”, East Yorkshire MP Sir Greg Knight revealed during a visit to Bridlington Caravan and Motorhome Park at Sewerby.

Sir Greg said: “Visitors to Bridlington Caravan and Motorhome Park alone contribute nearly £3 million annually to the local economy, at places nearby such as shops, farms, pubs and restaurants

Sir Greg was given a tour of the site by local site wardens Paul and Carole Gregory and was shown the facilities available to visiting holiday-makers, which included the park’s pitch sites as well as their information kiosk and reception centre and shop.

The MP said he was ‘very impressed’ with what the site had to offer with each caravan pitch being on a hardstanding base with a dedicated electricity supply.

Sir Greg adds: “The Bridlington Caravan and Motorhome Park is one of over 25 caravan sites in East Yorkshire.

“These sites provide excellent facilities for caravanners and motorhome owners to use when visiting East Yorkshire and are vital to boosting tourism in and around Bridlington.”.
