An array of classic cars from all over Yorkshire drove into Pocklington at the weekend for a special historic vehicle display.
The event was supported by East Yorkshire MP Sir Greg Knight who joined in the festivities by arriving in his 1963 Jensen C-V8.
The display, on West Green in the town, was organised by Pocklington resident John Schumacher of “NECPWA” -the North of England Classic Motoring Club.
Visitors were asked to donate a sum on entry and the money raised will be donated towards the upkeep of the Pocklington Arts Centre.
Sir Greg praised Mr Schumacher and his team for their hard work in putting on the event.
“The only let down was the weather”, said Greg, “which predictably followed the long-established British Bank Holiday pattern: it was wet”.
Over 45 cars took part in the display.
