East Yorkshire MP Sir Greg Knight has joined the tributes to Her Majesty for her ‘extraordinary service to our nation’, as the Queen becomes our longest serving Monarch.

Sir Greg, who has served in Her Majesty’s Household twice, as Treasurer of the Royal Household (1993-1996) and later as Vice Chamberlain of the Royal Household (2012-2013) has met the Queen on many occasions during the performance of his duties which has included briefing Her Majesty on the business being debated in Parliament.

He said, “It is right that today we should pause to celebrate the Queen’s extraordinary record of service our nation. Her Majesty has been a constant in a rapidly changing world and people everywhere admire her sense of service, duty and dedication to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth”.
